The evolution of man...

I think this is a very real picture of how man has evolved, and serves as a fair warning to all wrt where the trend is headed...

Something needs to be done...and fast!

Perspectives...

Well...its been a while...

And Im back to talk about my favourite subject.Perspectives.
Honestly, I dont think I can ever underestimate the importance of a new/different perspective. If it were not for different perspectives, there would be no enlightenment (or maybe, everyone would be equally enligntened...depends on your point of view). The fact that one can interpret any given situation in countless ways, no one more correct than the other(if we look at all perspectives without any bias at all) makes life very interesting. After all, this very fact has given birth to a very engaging branch of philosophy -Episitemology, or The theory of knowledge.

That apart, I think its largely because people view the same situation in different ways that makes them different from each other. It is possibly just the set of perspectives that one carries with oneself that define ones real identity. Without them, one would be indistinguishable from every other person in the same desposition. In such a state, life would be blissful, because there would never be any arguments. However, there would never be any progress either, as real progress is brought about by 'thinking out of the box', and that would not exist.

Also, I am of the opinion that arguments are the spice of life (im sure everyone who knows me will agree that i live a very spicy life ;) ) so a situation where everyone thinks alike will be, for me atleast...extremely boring!

if you are wondering what got me started on this... it was the interpretation of WYSIWYG by Ambalika (aka rika). About 15 mins ago, I thought that acronym only meant What You See is What You Get. Apparently, she sees Tryptophan-Tyrosine-Serine-Isoleucine-Tryptophan-Tyrosine-
-Glycine
...which, to the uninitiated, is a chain of amino acids. In short, to her I am peptide having Theoretical pI/Mw: 5.52 / 974.08 ...whatever that is!!!

I completely agree...

Sitting in the college canteen in the final year of engineering can be very time, hmmm.... consuming.

And while we are at it, some of us like to amuse ourselves with..."engaging" conversations about higher ideals...

One of these conversations related to the state of engineering education.
Today, thanks to Rahul I came across the above link. I must say, The business Innovator Insider has summed up the discussion better than any of us could ever have...
